Police Investigate 2 Home Burglaries
A woman was also arrested in connection with a retail theft from Target.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
DUI—State and Sproul roads at about 1:52 a.m. on Sept. 22. A vehicle was observed driving in a reckless manner and the driver was pulled over. The driver, a 54-year-old Aston man, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken to Springfield Hospital, had blood drawn, and was the transported to the Springfield Police Station. The man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related motor vehicle violations. He was later released to a relative. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.

Burglary—A resident from the 200 block of Foulke Lane reported that sometime between 7:15 a.m. on Sept. 21 and 2:21 a.m. on Sept. 22, someone forcibly entered her home through a window in the rear of the house. The house had been gone through but the victim was not sure if anything had been taken. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.
Burglary—A resident from the 500 block of Kennerly Road reported that sometime between 2 p.m. on Sept. 21 and 10:12 a.m. on Sept. 22 someone forcibly entered her home through a front window. The bedrooms had been gone through and an unknown amount of jewelry was believed to be missing. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.

Retail Theft—Target store security in the Springfield Mall reported that they had a female in custody for retail theft at the store at about 2:01 p.m. on Sept. 22. Ptlm. Joseph OíBerg responded to the scene and took a 39-year-old Havertown woman into custody and transported her to the Springfield Police Station. She was issued a citation for retail theft for taking $54.98 worth of merchandise from the store. Detective James Devaney is handling the investigation.
