Shrimp Theft, Trespassing, Vandalism, More: Springfield Crime Blotter

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between June 19 and June 25.

June 19 at 9:02 a.m.
A resident of the 300 block of East Springfield Road reported his vehicle was damaged sometime overnight by someone pouring a liquid substance as it was parked on Rose Lane.
June 19 at 12:57 p.m.
Three subjects from Sunnyside, New York will be charged after they were observed selling flowers on the median along the 1200 block of Baltimore Pike.

June 20 at 10:31 a.m.
A 62-year-old male from Chester will be charged with Retail Theft after employees at Giant 900 block of Baltimore Pike observed him and a second male involved in stealing $150 worth of frozen shrimp. Both males left the store and dumped the stolen merchandise nearby. The second male began to yell at employees about following them. Officers took the males into custody and recovered the stolen merchandise. The male also had an arrest warrant for retail theft and was later turned over to sheriffs. The second male will be charged with Disorderly Conduct.
June 20 at 9 p.m.
An 18-year-old female from Philadelphia was taken into custody after security from Target at the mall observed her steal $450 worth of clothing. She will be charged with Retail Theft.
June 20 at 9:32 p.m.
Springfield School District reported a card reader on a door near the playground was damaged.
June 23 at 2:14 p.m.
Officers responded to the Springfield Square North property, 1000 block of Baltimore Pike, to investigate a male subject who was aggressively asking people for money. Officers located a 38-year-old man with no known address who was trespassing on this property. He was charged with trespassing and held for arraignment.
June 24 at 2:33 p.m.
A 25-year-old female from Yeadon was taken into custody after Macy’s security at the mall observed her steal $284 worth of clothing. Charges for Retail Theft will be filed.
June 25 at 8:29 p.m.
Two males, a 28-year-old from and 53-year-old male, both from Philadelphia, were stopped by police after they stole a quantity of Ensure drink from CVS, 300 block of Baltimore Pike. They will be charged with Retail Theft.
