Simulated Golf Center With Restaurant, Bar Could Come To Delco

Springfield Township's Board of Commissioners will consider an application for a simulated golf center, complete with a bar and restaurant.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Delaware County could be getting a new simulated golf center, complete with a restaurant and bar.

The Springfield Township Board of Commissioners at 8 p.m. Tuesday will consider an application requesting approval of the installation of a restaurant, bar, and simulated golf center.

According to township documents, the business would be a franchised location of X-Golf.

X-Golf offers simulated golf courses from around the world, golf lessons from PGA-certified experts, beer, cocktails, and foods such as chicken wings, pizza, soft pretzels, cheesesteak egg rolls, fries, and more.

The chain has locations across the country, four in Pennsylvania. They are in Chester Springs, Easton, Garnet Valley, and Wexford.

Officials said the conditional use applicant is H. Fintan McHugh, Esq.

The proposed business would be located at 751 W. Sproul Road, Space 21, in Springfield.

That location is in the SC-2 Zoning District, which specifies that a restaurant is a conditional use in that zoning district.

Members of the public can attend the meeting, which will take place at the Springfield Country Club, 400 W. Sproul Road.
