Springfield Crime Blotter: Assault, Public Drunkenness, Theft

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Feb. 2 and Feb. 5.

Feb. 2 at 1:55 p.m.
A male subject entered the Any Garment Cleaners store, 100 block of Baltimore Pike, and walked into an employees only area. When he was told to leave, he struck an employee and was subdued until police arrived. The male, 22, of Glenolden, was found to be under the influence of narcotics. He was taken into custody and later to a hospital for treatment. Charges for Trespassing, Assault, and other offenses will be filed.
Feb. 2 at 2:04 p.m.
Officers responded to a house on the 200 block of East Springfield Road for a report of a female down in the driveway vomiting. They located a 44-year-old woman from Folsom who was intoxicated and unable to say where she was supposed to be. She was given medical attention and released to a family member who was located in the area. Charges for Public Drunkenness will be filed.

Feb. 2 at 5:40 p.m.
Officers investigated a female who was possibly intoxicated inside a vehicle in the area of Norwinden Drive and Fairview Road. They located a female in the passenger area and found her to be intoxicated. The 47-year-old from Upper Darby was taken into custody and later released to family. She will be charged with Public Drunkenness.
Feb. 4 at 10 a.m.
A resident of the 600 block of Hawarden Road reported a bag containing hairstyling equipment was taken from her parked vehicle sometime overnight Feb. 2 to Feb. 3.
Feb. 5 at 1:12 p.m.
A resident reported the catalytic converter was removed from his Toyota vehicle while it was parked on Alford Road near Sedgewood Road.
Feb. 5 at 3:30 p.m.
A 27-year-old female from Upper Darby was taken into custody after Macy’s security reported she had stolen over $500 worth of clothing. The merchandise was recovered, and the female will be charged with Retail Theft.
Feb. 5 at 3:54 p.m.
A resident of the 100 block of Morton Road reported an Amazon delivery package was stolen from the front steps of the property.
Feb. 5 at 9:40 p.m.
A 32-year-old male from Brookhaven was taken into custody and will be charged with Retail Theft after Macy’s security observed him stealing over $300 worth of clothing. He was later released, and charges will be filed.
