Springfield Crime Blotter: Assault, DUI, Fighting
Two men and a woman were hurt following a fight that started at a bar and ended on Saxer Avenue, police said. See full details here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 19 and Oct. 24.

Oct. 19 at 1:16 p.m.
Officers were called to the parking lot of St. Francis Church 100 block Saxer Avenue to investigate an unconscious person inside a running vehicle. Contact was made with the driver who was found to be intoxicated. The driver, a 58-year-old male from Glenolden, was transported to a hospital for treatment and did submit to a blood test. Charges for DUI are pending.
Oct. 23 at 2:19 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of the Stoney Creek Shopping Center to investigate an altercation between a male a female. It was learned that both had been arguing loudly when the male punched the female in the back of the head. Nazir Allford, 30, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody and charged with Assault. He was arraigned and taken to Delaware County Prison.

Oct. 24 at 2:36 a.m.
Officers were called to the unit block Saxer Avenue for a fight. They found three males and a female in the area of Orchard Road. Two males and the female had sustained injuries in an altercation that may have started at a local bar and ended on Saxer Avenue. Two of the males and the female needed medical attention, and the males were transported to hospitals. Investigation is continuing by Det. McCarthy
