Springfield Crime Blotter: Car Break-Ins, Theft, Stolen Car
Police said a vehicle was stolen from the Mitsubishi on Baltimore Pike in early April. See details on this and more incidents here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Tuesday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between April 4 and April 8.

April 4 at 2:48 p.m.
Officers responded to the Mitsubishi dealership, 300 block of Baltimore Pike, for a report that a male subject just stole a vehicle. The male was not approved to purchase a vehicle and walked outside the showroom and stole a customer’s vehicle. Officers checked the area and located the male walking on Edgewood Drive. He was taken into custody, and the stolen vehicle was recovered. The male, 27, of Abington, was released to family, and charges will be filed.
April 4 at 6:54 p.m.
Four vehicles were broken into at the Springfield Shopping Center on the State Road side of the center. Small electronics and handbags were taken while the vehicle owners were inside a business. Windows were smashed to gain entry. Det. McCarthy is investigating.

April 6 at 1:45 p.m.
Leroy Brock, 54, of Philadelphia, was arrested and held for arraignment after Macy’s security at the mall reported he stole over $300 worth of perfume. He was charged with Retail Theft and released on bail.
April 7 at 3:26 p.m.
Macy’s security at the mall reported a female in custody for stealing close to $200 worth of clothing. The female took a quantity of clothing to a fitting room and concealed it. Shyaire Romeo, of 22, Wilmington, Delaware, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft. She was held for arraignment and later transported to Delaware County Prison.
April 8 at 4:37 p.m.
A resident of the 400 block of East Springfield Road reported his house was hit by pellets which came from a gel ball blaster gun. He reported juvenile males in a vehicle shot the pellets while stopped for a red traffic signal in front of the house. Sgt. J. DiTrolio is investigating.
