Springfield Crime Blotter: Car Break Ins, Vandalism, Theft, More

SPRINGFIELD, PA — The most recent crime blotter from Springfield Police is out, and we have the details.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 24 and Aug. 29.

Aug. 24 at 10:08 a.m.
A shopper exiting the Target store at the mall observed a male subject next to her car with the door open. The male then walked into the store. While inside, he cut security wrap to a small electronic and stole a duffel bag to hold other items he did not pay for. Officers responded and took Aaron Dandridge, 41, of Chester, into custody. He was charged with Retail Theft and taken for arraignment.
Aug. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
Officers responded to the 100 block Saxer Avenue to investigate a male subject who approached a woman and a young boy asking for money. The male then touched his crotch area as he followed the two. Officers later identified the subject as John Ward, 58, of Springfield. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Harassment and a Township Ordinance violation.

Aug. 24 at 9:08 a.m.
A stolen license plate was reported from a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Springfield Point Shopping Center 1000 block East Woodland Avenue. On Aug. 25, a vehicle driving in Sharon Hill Borough was stopped for displaying the stolen license plate. Two juvenile males from Morton were arrested by Sharon Hill PD.
Aug. 26 at 12:54 p.m.
Three unlocked vehicles were entered sometime overnight in the parking area of the Rolling Green Apartment complex. A small amount of coins was taken.
Aug. 26 at 3:23 hrs.
Officers observed a male subject stumbling as he walked along the unit block Baltimore Pk. The male was found to be intoxicated on heroin and possessed a quantity of heroin and paraphernalia. Nicholas Bartley, 24, of Chester, was arrested and charged with Drug Offenses and taken for arraignment.
Aug. 27 at 9:21 a.m.
Several Trump/Pence political signs were stolen from properties on the 200 block South Norwinden Drive and the unit block West Avenue.
Aug. 27 at 9:54 p.m.
Eggs were thrown at houses and vehicles on the 300 block Valley View Road, the unit block Colonial Park Drive and the 200 block Pancoast Avenue. Video surveillance is being reviewed to identify the actors.
Aug. 29 at 7:13 p.m.
Security from Macy’s at the mall reported a female selected numerous pieces of jewelry and concealed the pieces inside a shopping bag. The female left the store and fled on foot after being approached by security. Responding officers located the female in a rear yard of a nearby vacant property. Some merchandise was recovered, and the female was found in possession of crack cocaine. Terry Hooks, 60, of Chester, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft and Drug Offenses and taken for arraignment.
