Springfield Crime Blotter: Car Keyed, Heroin Arrests, Thefts
Police said two people were arrested and charged after officers found heroin and other narcotics in their vehicle recently.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
The blotter features incidents that occurred between Feb. 25 and Feb. 28.

Feb. 25 at 5:47 p.m.
Officers responded to the Target at the mall to investigate a theft. They found that a female had selected numerous items of clothing and infant products and went to a fitting room. She exited the fitting room with the items concealed in an infant bag and personal handbag. She then hurried out of the store not paying for the items. Target security recognized the female from prior thefts. The female, 24, of Philadelphia, will be charged with Retail Theft. Det. McCarthy is handling the investigation.
Feb. 26, at 11:11 a.m.
Officers responded to a fight involving two females in the parking lot of Qdoba Mexican Grill, 1000 block Baltimore Pike. As a female arrived at the restaurant to pick up food, she was approached by a second female who punched her in the face and fled. The victim who stayed was uncooperative with the investigation and was found to have smoked marijuana prior. She littered the ground with catering items and refused to pick them up. A 25-year-old Philadelphia woman was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Depositing Waste and released.

Feb. 27 at 9:09 a.m.
A resident of the 400 block East Springfield Road reported two vehicles in the driveway were entered sometime overnight and a quantity of cash removed from inside. The vehicles appeared to have been left unlocked.
Feb. 28 at 7:19 a.m.
A resident of the 100 block Bellevue Avenue reported sometime overnight someone keyed the driver side of his vehicle which had been left parked on the street.
Feb. 28 at 1:26 p.m.
While attempting to serve a Protection from Abuse Order notification at a residence on the 400 block East Springfield Road, officers observed two subjects leaving the property and entering a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and both subjects inside were investigated. A quantity of heroin and narcotics was found in the possession of both. Ryan Roffo, 28, of Springfield, and Jessica Morgan 28, of Drexel Hill, were taken into custody and charged with Drug Possession and related offenses. They were both taken to arraignment.
Feb. 28 at 1:57 p.m.
A 62-year-old Lansdowne man will be charged with Retail Theft after being observed by security at Target at the mall selecting over $200 worth of vinyl records, scratching off the price tickets and trying to leave the store without paying. Det. Nutley is investigating.
Feb. 28 at 5:50 p.m.
Security at Target at the mall reported observing a male open a package of tools and remove tools from the package. The male then selecting an amount of clothing and go to a fitting room. The male exited the fitting room wearing some of the clothes he selected. The male then went to the hardware department and concealed several tools in his pockets before exiting to the mall. Officers left the store, and a short time later the suspect returned. Upon arrival of police, the male was found in the parking lot. A 36-year-old man from Leola, PA was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft. He was held for arraignment.
