Springfield Crime Blotter: Catalytic Converter Theft, DUI, More
Police said four men stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of South Swarthmore Avenue recently.

CVS employees, 700 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a male subject left the store with a quantity of allergy medication and did not pay. The male entered a waiting vehicle and fled the area. Det. McNeely is investigating.

April 25 at 7:41 p.m.
CVS employees, 700 block South Chester Road, reported two male subjects left the store with a quantity of allergy medication and eye care products. Getting much more prepared for the season. They left the area in a waiting vehicle. Det. McNeely is investigating.
April 26 at 4:35 p.m.
A 34-year-old female from Philadelphia was arrested for stealing over $300 worth of goods from CVS, 300 block of Baltimore Pike, She had left the store and was stopped by Officers on the 200 block of Baltimore Pike. She was released and will be charged with Retail Theft.

April 27 at 10:10 a.m.
A shopper at Target, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported her wallet was taken from her shopping cart as she shopped. It was later found her credit card was used at various stores in the area. Det. Nutley is investigating.
April 27 at 1:25 p.m.
An employee at a kiosk inside Springfield Mall reported that while assisting a customer, two subjects approached the kiosk and distracted her while one of them stole her cell phone from the counter. Det. Nutley is investigating.
April 27 at 10:02 p.m.
A patron on Longhorn Steakhouse, 1000 block of Baltimore Pike, reported she left her purse at her table when she left the restaurant, and when she returned it was gone. Det. McNeely is investigating.
April 28 at 10:18 a.m.
Officers responded to the Springfield Mall parking lot for a report of a male subject damaging vehicles. Officers located the suspect as he entered a truck parked in the lot. Officers found a vehicle in the lot had been scratched down the side by a knife, and the victim was located. The suspect mentioned he had been cut off by the victim as they drove on Sproul Road towards the mall and became angry. He waited in the mall and then damaged the car. The male, 73, of Middletown, was taken into custody and interviewed. He was later released pending a summons.
April 28 at 5:49 p.m.
A resident of the 300 block of South Swarthmore Avenue reported that his catalytic converter had just been stolen from his parked vehicle by four males who left the area in a vehicle.
May 1 at 2:35 p.m.
Adis Burgos, 57, of Secane, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after security at Macy’s reported she had stolen close to $1,800 worth of fragrance and kitchen products. She was held for arraignment and released.
May 1 at 10:01 p.m.
A 42-year-old male from Upper Darby was taken into custody for DUI after he was stopped for driving with expired registration and found to be intoxicated on the 400 block of Baltimore Pike. The male was taken into custody and refused a blood test. He was later released to family and will be charged with DUI and traffic offenses.
