Springfield Crime Blotter: Drugs, Theft, Vandalism, More
Two Delaware County people were found injecting heroin near the Baltimore Pike Best Buy store over Labor Day Weekend, police said.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township released their weekly crime blotter Monday, and the details are below.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5.

Aug. 31 at 7:15 a.m.
The Township Buildings and Grounds Dept. found several spindles to the wood railing at Old Central School had been damaged sometime over the weekend. After checking surveillance video, officers observed a subject fitting the description of the subject observed damaging the spindles and identified him as a 15 year old from Springfield. He was interviewed, and charges are pending.
Aug. 31 at 11:57 a.m.
A resident of the 300 block Alliston Road reported sometime overnight someone struck his vehicle with eggs.

Aug. 31 at 1:10 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of Sproul Road and Sheffield Drive for a report of a subject appearing disoriented. They located a male who appeared to be intoxicated on narcotics and found drug paraphernalia in his possession. Bryan Brady, 31, of New Castle, Delaware was taken into custody and charged with Public Drunkenness. He was found to have an arrest warrant out of Philadelphia and was turned over to Philadelphia PD.
Sept. 1 at 9:11 a.m.
An employee of CVS, 334 Baltimore Pike, reported a male had walked out of the store pushing a shopping cart full of merchandise. He left the lot in a white SUV on Norwinden Drive. Det. Devaney is investigating.
Sept. 5 at 11:45 a.m.
A resident of the 400 block Maplewood Road reported her son’s bike was stolen from the front yard sometime overnight. The bike was later found in the area of the 600 block Sheffield Drive.
Sept. 5 at 12:42 p.m.
Officers responded to the Best Buy 600 block Baltimore Pike for a report of two subjects in the rear acting suspiciously. They located both sitting along the fence line in the rear appearing to be injecting heroin. A quantity of heroin and drug paraphernalia was found in their possession and recovered. John McErlane, 46, of Aston, and Katie Tobin, 37, of Trainer, were taken into custody and charged with Drug Offenses.
