Springfield Crime Blotter: Drugs, Vandalism, Thefts, More
Police took three separate reports of eggs being thrown at vehicles on Nov. 25. See details on those incidents and more here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township released their crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29.

Nov. 24 at 6 a.m.
A resident of the 200 block Ballymore Road reported observed a male subject loitering in his driveway. Ofc. Walsh responded to the area and located a male fitting the description in the area of Powell Road at Franklin Avenue. The subject had in his possession inside a backpack a quantity of coins, cash, gift cards, marijuana and cigarettes. The subject was taken into custody, and several residents later called to report items stolen from their vehicles. Daron Townsend 25, of Chester, was charged with Loitering and Prowling at Night and Theft.
Nov. 25 at 9:59 p.m.
A resident of the unit block White Oak Road reported eggs were thrown at the house.

Nov. 25 at 8:13 a.m.
A resident of the 300 block Hawarden Road reported eggs were thrown at his vehicle.
Nov. 25 at 12:31 p.m.
Employees at Kay Jewelers reported a customer left the store with a diamond ring he had been looking at. Det. Devaney is investigating.
Nov. 25 at 1:15 p.m.
A resident of the 200 block Lynbrooke Road reported two males pulled out a small tree from the ground on the front yard of the property.
Nov. 25 at 1:32 p.m.
A resident reported eggs being thrown at his vehicle on the unit block of Server Lane.
Nov. 25 at 11:42 p.m.
While on patrol, Ofc. Bergman observed a female stumbling in the lot of the CVS, 300 block Baltimore Pike. She was found to be under the influence of heroin, and heroin and paraphernalia were found in her possession. The 32-year-old female from Secane was taken into custody and later released. Charges will be filed for Drug Possession.
Nov. 26 at 5:07 a.m.
A 43-year-old male from Morton will be charged with Defiant Trespassing after being found inside a closed building on the 1200 block East Woodland Avenue after business hours.
Nov. 26 at 10:17 a.m.
A resident of the unit block North Norwinden Drive reported eggs thrown at her vehicle.
Nov. 27 at 10:55 a.m.
Target security at the mall reported a male subject had stolen about $1000 worth of electronics and fled the store. Responding officers located the subject near the trolley stop and were able to take him into custody. The 26-year-old male from Wilmington was taken into custody and will be charged with Retail Theft and related offenses.
Nov. 27 at 1 p.m.
A resident of the 300 block South Norwinden Drive reported someone slashed two tires on her vehicle as it was parked in the rear of the property.
Nov. 28 at 8:11 p.m.
A patron of the Giant Store 900 block Baltimore Pike reported that while shopping she was distracted by a male subject and left her purse in her shopping cart. After a period of time and while still shopping, she received information that her credit cards were being used at various stores. She then realized her wallet was missing from her purse. Det. Nutley is investigating.
Nov. 29 at 2:29 a.m.
A 29-year-old male from Drexel Hill was arrested for DUI after being found unconscious inside his vehicle at the intersection of State and Springfield roads. The male submitted to a blood test and was released to family. Charges are pending.
