SPRINGFIELD, PA — The Springfield Township Police crime blotter is out, and we have the details below.
Incidents in the blotter occurred in the township between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6.

Sept. 30 at 1:49 p.m.
Target at the mall security reported observing a female attempting to remove a security sensor from a 55-inch television in the electronics department. She then walked out of the store with the television. Samantha Brown, 51, of Upper Darby, was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft. She was held for arraignment.
Oct. 2 at 9:18 a.m.
A subject who had his truck serviced on the 200 block of Baltimore Pike reported that the utility box had been pried open sometime overnight and a large quantity of tools stolen.

Oct. 3 at 2:20 p.m.
A juvenile female from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after being observed at Target at the mall stealing makeup and food and concealing it in a backpack she also stole. She was released to family.
Oct. 3 at 8:30 p.m.
An employee at Springfield Diner, 700 block of Baltimore Pike, reported that sometime during her shift someone removed cash and medication from her purse as she worked. Det. Nutley is investigating.
Oct. 4 at 10:23 a.m.
Giant Market, 700 block of West Sproul Road, reported discovering a theft had occurred on Sept. 27 in which a male subject entered the store at 6:48 a.m. and stole four containers of Tide laundry detergent. He was described as wearing dirty clothes. Det. McCarthy is investigating.
Oct. 5 at 4:35 a.m.
Officers investigated a crash on the unit block of Saxer Avenue in which a vehicle drove into a parked vehicle. The driver, a 22-year-old male from Broomall, was found to be intoxicated and taken into custody. He was later released to a friend and will be charged with Traffic Offenses and DUI.
Oct. 6 at 12:01 p.m.
A shopper at the CVS, 300 block of Baltimore Pike, reported finding her vehicle window had been smashed ass he shopped. A purse left on the front passenger seat had been rummaged through but nothing of value taken.
Oct. 6 at 5:36 p.m.
Whitney Whitaker, 22, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after being observed at Target 800 block of Baltimore Pike stealing over $500 worth of clothing. She was held for arraignment.
