Springfield Crime Blotter: DUI, Theft, Drugs
A Delaware man was taken into custody after police said they found him asleep in a vehicle that was stopped in traffic on Baltimore Pike.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Jan. 4 at 5:14 p.m.
Macy’s at the mall security reported a male subject had entered the store and selecting numerous
articles of clothing. He concealed the clothing and fled from the store into the mall. Det. Nutley is
Investigating.
Jan. 6 at 6:50 p.m.
Target security, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a male using cutters to cut security wires off a cell phone. He then concealed the phone. Upon making contact with the male, he found with the phone and drug paraphernalia. A 32-year-old man from Allentown was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft and Drug offenses and held for arraignment.

Jan. 9 at 4:24 a.m.
While on patrol, Ofc. Lord observed a vehicle stopped and blocking traffic on the 300 block of Baltimore Pike. The driver was found to be sleeping in the driver’s seat. The driver was awoken and found to be intoxicated. The 39-year-old male from Wilmington was taken into custody. He was later released to family and will be charged with DUI and traffic offenses
