Springfield Crime Blotter: Egged Car, Theft, Harassment, More
Police said two Philadelphia men stole more than $5,000 in items from Macy's recently. See details on this incident and more here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between May 16 and May 22.

May 16 at 11:26 a.m.
A courier making a collection at the complex of the Springfield Park Shopping Center, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported someone stole a bag from inside his vehicle containing money. Det. McNeely is investigating.
May 17 at 9:48 p.m.
A driver of a vehicle on Powell Road passing Williams Park reported her vehicle was struck by an egg. The passengers of the vehicle located suspects in the area of Wawa and police were called. The investigation is continuing by Det. Cutcliff.

May 17 at 9:45 a.m.
An employee of Springfield Rehab Center, 400 block of West Sproul Road, reported credit cards were stolen from her purse as she worked, and several unauthorized transactions occurred. Det. McNeely is investigating.
May 17 at 10 a.m.
The Township reported several areas of the railing at Old Central School were damaged. A suspect was identified by Officers and is a person who has damaged the railing multiple times in the past. Det. McNeely will be charging the suspect with Institutional Vandalism again.
May 17 at 1:22 p.m.
Best Buy reported a male subject entered the business and stole three Apple computers on May 16. The male left on foot towards the Days Inn.
May 17 at 2:16 p.m.
Residents of the 200 block of Ballymore Road reported several juveniles banging on house doors and running away. Officers located a suspect in the parking lot of the Wawa. The male juvenile from Springfield will be charged with Harassment.
May 18 at 2:44 p.m.
Best Buy reported a male and female stole an electric toothbrush and left the area in a waiting vehicle. May 18 at 9:28 p.m. Sierra Lucas, 33, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody after security at Macy’s reported she stole over $2,600 worth of clothing. She was also found to have active warrants for prior thefts in Springfield. Lucas was transported to Delaware County Prison.
May 19 at 10:52 a.m.
Target security at the mall reported a male and female attempted to walk out of the store, failing to pay for a Wi-Fi router and mug. Security recovered the merchandise, but the male and female verbally threatened security. The suspects entered a vehicle and left the area. Det. McNeely is following up.
May 21 at 1:54 p.m.
Officers responding to the area of Stoneybrook Drive and Ivy Lane for an unconscious person inside a vehicle found the driver, a 39-year-old male from Morton, to be intoxicated. A quantity of heroin and drug paraphernalia were located in his possession. The male was treated by medical personnel and submitted to a blood test. Charges for DUI and drug possession will be filed.
May 21 at 9:48 p.m.
The driver of a vehicle reported her vehicle was hit by eggs thrown by two juvenile males in the area of Springfield Road and Hillcrest Road The males fled on Hillcrest Road.
May 22 at 4 p.m.
Macy’s security at the mall reported two male subjects in custody after watching them steal over $5,000 worth of merchandise. John Evans, 55, of Philadelphia, and Harold Robinson, 53, of Philadelphia, were arrested and held for arraignment. They were later transported to Delaware County Prison.
May 22 at 11:53 a.m.
Wawa reported two subjects entered the store and walked behind the service counter while employees were working in a different area and stole a quantity of cigarettes. Both left the store and fled in a vehicle. Det. Cutcliff is investigating.
