SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly blotter Monday.
The blotter contains incidents that occurred between June 15 and June 19.

June 15 at 1:17 p.m.
A woman reported that while shopping in the Giant store, 700 block West Sproul Road, her wallet was removed from her handbag which was in a shopping cart. Several unauthorized purchases were made at different stores. Sgt. J. DiTrolio is investigating.
June 15 at 10:14 p.m.
While on patrol, Ofc. Boyd observed a vehicle travelling on Saxer Avenue with the front passenger standing up through the sunroof of the vehicle. Contact was made with the driver who was found to be intoxicated. Open cans of alcoholic beverages were also found inside, and the driver, 21-year-old female from Springfield, was arrested for DUI. She was taken for a blood test and released to family. Charges for DUI and traffic offenses will be filed.

June 17 at noon
A resident of the 200 block Welsh Drive reported a charcoal fire starter was stolen from the rear of her property sometime in the last few weeks.
June 17 at 9:02 p.m.
CVS employees, 300 block Baltimore Pike, reported observing a male and female inside the store placing hygiene products inside two beach bags which they took from display and a handbasket. They attempted to leave the store without paying for any of the merchandise and were questioned by staff. The two left the products and fled the area in a vehicle. Over $300 worth of merchandise was recovered. Det. Devaney is investigating.
June 18 at 6:33 p.m.
A male and female were observed involved in a fight in the parking lot of T-Mobile, 800 block Baltimore Pike. The fight appeared to be over a parking space and involved a drink being thrown and punches. Charges for Disorderly Conduct will be filed.
June 19 at 9:07 a.m.
A 26-year-old Chester man was stopped and charged with retail theft after Target security 800 block Baltimore Pike observed him steal a vacuum cleaner and flee the store. Responding officers found him walking in the area with the vacuum. He was taking to central booking and arraigned.
June 19 at 9:31 a.m.
A resident of the 300 block Garden Road reported a mountain bike was taken from his property sometime after June 17.
