SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
The blotter features incidents that occurred between June 22 and June 25.

June 22, 9:14 a.m.
The Township Parks Department reported graffiti was sprayed on playground equipment within the Williams Park, 100 block Powell Road. Vulgar and obscene language and pictures were placed on sliding boards. Det. McCarthy is investigating.
June 25, 6:50 a.m.
Officers were called to the Parkway Inn 600 block Baltimore Pike to investigate a theft of money. They learned that the prior evening someone had entered the counter area and removed an amount of cash from a register. The suspect was last seen walking on Baltimore Pike. Investigation revealed the suspect was staying across the street at the Days Inn. Officers made contact with the suspect and identified him and the actor who stole the money. David Newsome, 53, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody and transported to central booking for arraignment. He was charged with theft and related offenses.

June 25, 8:36 p.m.
Employees at the T-Mobile store reported two male subjects entered the store and cut security wire on four cell phones. They took the phones failing to pay and left the area on foot. Det. Nutley is investigating.
June 25, 6:05 p.m.
Officers responded to Walsh Park for a report of a disorderly group of juveniles who took a baby stroller from a family using the park and damaged the stroller. Officers were able to locate the group further in the wooded area of the park and identified them. Seven juveniles from Springfield, Morton and Drexel Hill will be charged with disorderly conduct
