SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township recently released their weekly crime blotter, as we have the details.
Incident in the blotter occurred between Sept. 14 and Sept. 18.

Sept. 14 at 8 a.m.
Officers received a report of vandalism at the high school that occurred over the weekend. School District Officials reported numerous empty beer cans and garbage was left on the tennis courts, and the net slashed on one of the courts. Det. McCarthy is investigating.
Sept. 14 at 3:04 p.m.
Edward Donawa, 35, of Fort Washington, Maryland, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after being observed at Target at the mall stealing over $200 worth of toys and sporting goods.

Sept. 16 at 7:45 a.m.
Officers were called to the rear loading dock of BJ’s, 1200 block East Woodland Avenue, to investigate two subjects who were trespassing near the dock. Officers made contact with Gerry Cofer, 40, of Levittown, who was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He also had several active arrest warrants and was taken into custody. The other subject left the area and was not located. Cofer was charged with Drug Offenses and turned over to Chester County to answer the warrants.
Sept. 18 at 5 p.m.
Three boys locked their bikes outside the Target Store, 800 block Baltimore Pike, and shopped inside. When they went outside, they observed a male trying to cut the locks to the bikes. They confronted the male, and he ran away from the area. The male was not located, and the bikes were not damaged.
