Springfield Crime Blotter: Package Theft, Drug Arrests, More
Police said a Morton woman was charged with public drunkenness was found at Old Central School after shooting heroin.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their crime blotter Monday.
The blotter features incidents that occurred between March 17 and March 21.

March 17, 8:10 a.m.
Officers were called to the Target for a report of a male subject who had attempted to steal cans of baby formula and fled from the store. Target security reported this same male also stole formula on a prior occasion. Upon arrival, Officers located the subject in a nearby parking lot. He was stopped and arrested. A 51-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.
March 17, 9:21 a.m.
A resident of the 300 block Yale Avenue reported observing a male subject steal a package from her front porch. The female’s husband confronted the male and was able to get the package back. The suspect fled on foot towards Swarthmore Avenue. Det. Devaney is investigating.

March 17, 1:44 p.m.
A 23-year-old from Philadelphia woman was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after being observed at Target 800 block Baltimore Pike stealing over $400 worth of merchandise. She was held for arraignment.
March 17, 2:15 p.m.
While on patrol, Officers observed a male subject in the parking lot of Days Inn walk up to the driver of a vehicle which had pulled up to a parking space. They observed what appeared to be a drug transaction between the two males and investigated. It was found that the driver possessed a quantity of marijuana on his person and inside the vehicle. Both males were taken into custody, and charges are pending.
March 19, 2:04 p.m.
Target at the mall security called to report stopping a male subject who had switched price tags on a bicycle and another item which allowed him to pay $2.99 for a $150 bike at the self-checkout area. The male, 38 of Philadelphia, was taken into custody and released after processing. He will be charged with Retail Theft.
March 21, 5:23 p.m.
A 53-year-old female from Morton was found intoxicated on a bench at the Old Central School property Saxer Avenue. It was found she had injected Heroin and needed to be treated by medical personnel. The female was transported to a hospital and will be charged with Public Drunkenness.
