Springfield Crime Blotter: Stolen Vehicle, Fight, Vandalism, More

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incident in the blotter occurred between July 1 and July 5.

July 1, 8 a.m.
The township reported that sometime over the weekend the fence rails around the porch of the Old Central School were damaged with graffiti. Det. McNeely is investigating.
July 3, 9:29 a.m.
A resident of the 200 block South Norwinden Drive reported a decorative statue was stolen from the front porch of the property.

July 4, 10:53 p.m.
Officers responded to a fight call in the area of the unit block East Scenic Road. Upon arrival a male subject was found intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The male, 33, of Springfield, was identified and turned over to family. Charges for Public Drunkenness will be filed.
July 5, 1:51p.m.
A person who was visiting a house on the 100 block Barbara Drive reported that sometime overnight someone stole his vehicle which was parked on the street. The vehicle was tracked to a location in Upper Darby Township, and Upper Darby Police Department located the vehicle unoccupied. The vehicle was recovered and returned to Springfield for investigation. Det. McCarthy is investigating.
July 5, 2:57 p.m.
A 27 yr. old female from Ridley Park will be charged with Disorderly Conduct after being involved in an incident at Charlotte Rouse Springfield Mall and causing damage and overstaying her welcome inside a fitting room. She was released to family.
July 5, 6:24 p.m.
A shopper at Target at the mall reported she had left her wallet and cell phone behind in the toy department, and when she returned it was gone. An unknown subject did turn in the victim’s cell phone to the desk. Several unauthorized purchases using the victim’s credit cards were made at various stores. Det. McCarthy is investigating.
