Springfield Crime Blotter: Theft, Car Break Ins, More

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township released their most recent crime blotter, detailing incidents handled in the past week.

Aug. 11 at 9:23 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of the SEPTA trolley stop at the mall for a report of an unconscious person. They located a 59-year-old male from Drexel Hill who was intoxicated and couldn’t stand on his own. The male was given medical treatment and taken into custody. He was charged with Public Drunkenness and released the next morning.

Aug. 14 at 8:57 a.m.
Several unlocked vehicles parked on Barbara Drive and West Avenue were entered sometime overnight. One vehicle had a small amount of money stolen.
Aug. 17 at 1:28 a.m.
While on patrol, officers were notified by a CVS employee 300 block Baltimore Pike that three subjects had just stolen items from the store and ran across Baltimore Pike. A male and female juvenile were located shortly after behind the Stoney Creek Shopping Center, and the third subject, a male juvenile, was located walking in a parking lot on the 600 block Baltimore Pike. All three were identified, and over $100 of merchandise was recovered. The three are from Philadelphia and were turned over to family who was staying locally. Charges for Retail Theft will be file
