Springfield Crime Blotter: Theft, DUI, Curfew Violation
Police said a wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Homestead Avenue last week. See details on this and other crimes here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield issued their weekly crime blotter Tuesday.
The blotter contains incidents that occurred between May 18 and May 24.

May 18, 10:04 a.m.
Target security 800 block Baltimore Pike reported a male subject walked out of the store with clothing merchandise failing to pay. Officers responded and located the subject on Baltimore Pike. Over $430 worth of merchandise was recovered, and Eric Ransom, 53, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody and brought to arraignment. He was charged with Retail Theft.
May 19, 6:32 p.m.
Officers responded to CVS 300 block Baltimore Pike for a report of a theft that had just taken place involving two females stealing over $130 worth of merchandise. Both females left the property in a vehicle. A short time later Officer Bergman located the vehicle involved parked in the lot of Target on the 800 block Baltimore Pike. He waited and observed the two females from the CVS theft walk to the vehicle. He identified the females, recovered the items from CVS and found they had just stolen merchandise from Target as well. Jonelle Jaudon, 29, of Philadelphia, was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Delaware County and was transported to the prison. The other female, 31, of Philadelphia, was released from the scene, and both will be charged with Retail Theft.

May 20, 2:11 a.m.
A 17-year-old male from Springfield was observed on the 300 block Prospect Road running through back yards of properties. The male was found hiding behind a shed and stopped by police. He was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Curfew and turned over to his parents.
May 20, 7:34 p.m.
A resident of the unit block Indian Rock Drive reported sometime the prior evening someone stole a bicycle from the rear of his property.
May 22, 1:15 p.m.
The Director of Parks for the Township reported the Ellson Glen Park sign was stolen sometime May 20 to May 22.
May 24, 11:01 a.m.
An unlocked vehicle was entered on the 800 block Homestead Avenue and a wallet removed from inside.
May 24, 2:38 p.m.
A 42-year-old male from Springfield was arrested and will be charged with DUI and traffic offenses after being involved in a crash striking a parked vehicle along the 400 block Yale Avenue. The male submitted to a blood test and was turned over to family.
