Springfield Crime Blotter: Theft, Fighting, Warrant Arrest, More

Police said several people attacked a man, slapping him several times, near Saxer Avenue and Orchard Road on Friday. See full details here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 12 and Jan. 16.

Jan. 12 at 7:50 p.m.
A resident of the 100 block of South Rolling Road reported someone kicked the front door of the house and found shoe prints on the door.

Jan. 13 at 2:43 p.m.
Officers observed a male subject loitering in the area of State Road and Meetinghouse Lane. He was observed walking around a property on Buttonwood Drive and then came back out to the street. Officers made contact with the male, 39, of Collingdale, and found he had an active arrest warrant from Delaware County. He was taken into custody and turned over to Delaware County sheriffs for transport to the prison.

Jan. 14 at 3:25 p.m.
Officers investigated a fight call in the area of Saxer Avenue and Orchard Road. Investigation revealed that several subjects had approached one male subject and slapped him in the face several times. All were found to be Springfield residents. Investigation is continuing, and disorderly conduct charges will be filed.

Jan. 15 at 10:15 p.m.
A male and female both from Philadelphia were reportedly acting disorderly in the parking lot of the Days Inn 600 block of Baltimore Pike. Officers found the two had been involved in a physical altercation. Both will be charged with Disorderly Conduct. They left the area after being picked up by a friend.

Jan. 16 at 10:50 p.m.
A resident of the 200 block of Sedgewood Road reported one of the tires on his vehicle was flat. When he took it for repair, he found the tire had been punctured.

Jan. 16 at 2:22 p.m.
A male and female from Upper Darby were stopped by Macy’s security at the mall after they were observed stealing over $400 worth of clothing. They were taken into custody and released. Charges for Retail Theft will be filed
