March 29 at 1:51 p.m.
A female subject stole 15 pairs of high-end sunglasses from Sunglass Hut Springfield Mall during the evening March 28. Det. McNeely is investigating.
March 29 at 7:12 p.m.
Best Buy employees, 600 block of Baltimore Pike, reported two male subjects came into the store and attempted to take three computers without paying. They were confronted by staff, and two computers were recovered. The subjects left the area in a waiting vehicle.

March 30 at 10:44 a.m.
Officer Bergman stopped a vehicle for displaying counterfeit inspection stickers on the 400 block of Baltimore Pike. The driver exited the vehicle and fled the area on foot. Responding officers located the male in the rear of a business on the 300 block of Baltimore Pike and took him into custody. The male was found in possession of a quantity of marijuana and a loaded firearm. Dennis Hennie, 40, of Philadelphia was charged with drug offenses and firearms violations and held for arraignment.
March 30 at 2:49 p.m.
We received a call regarding an unknown female being struck by a BB projectile as she walked in the rear parking lot at the Springfield Mall. A witness reported that a young, male subject who was a rear passenger in a white, Toyota minivan shot the BB from the vehicle, striking the female. The vehicle then left the property via Sproul Road. We were able to find the victim on March 31, and Det. McCarthy is investigating.
March 22 at 9:52 a.m.
Officers responded to the parking lot of the Springfield Mall to investigate a male and female unconscious inside a vehicle. Both were found to be under the influence of opioids, and the male possessed a quantity of methamphetamine. Both were taken into custody. The female, 32, of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, was released to family and be charged with Public Drunkenness. The male, 40, of Media, was released to family, and charges for drug offenses will be filed.
March 23 at 9:30 a.m.
Two business vehicles parked in the shopping strip on the 600 block of South Chester Road had their catalytic converters removed sometime overnight.
March 23 at 12:43 p.m.
A resident of the 400 block of North State Road reported the catalytic converter removed from his Acura vehicle sometime overnight.
March 23 at 4:41 p.m.
Officers went to the Stoney Creek Shopping Center, 400 block of Baltimore Pike, to investigate a male subject who was loitering in the hallway of the business suites on the second floor. The male had urinated in the elevator and was pushing a shopping cart. The male was provided a courtesy transport for services in Upper Darby and will be charged with Disorderly Conduct.
March 25 at 4:33 a.m.
Officers responded to the parking lot of the Springfield Park Shopping Center, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, for a report of a vehicle driving in circles and which struck two parked vehicles. Officers made contact with the female driver, 30, of Philadelphia, and found her to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test. She was later released to family, and charges for DUI are pending.
March 25 at 1:02 p.m.
A patron at the LA Fitness, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported personal items stolen from a locker while he exercised.
March 25 at 1:14 p.m.
Lamar Rozier, 32, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after being observed at Macy’s at the mall by security stealing over $200 worth of clothing. He was found to have active arrest warrants from multiple counties and was later released to Philadelphia authorities for a drug probation violation.
March 25 at 6:35 p.m.
A 53-year-old female from Springfield will be charged with Public Drunkenness after being observed on the trolley tracks near Papermill Road under the influence of alcohol and carrying a bottle of vodka. She was released to family.
March 27 at 1:07 a.m.
Macy’s security at the mall reported they observed a female steal over $350 worth of fragrance and clothing from the store. Shakia Guy, 38, of Chester, was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft. She was arraigned and released on bail
