Springfield Crime Blotter: Underage Drinking, Car Break-In, More
Police said the license plate was stolen from a vehicle then found on another vehicle in Brookhaven. See details on this and more here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11.

Oct. 5 at 12:42 p.m.
A resident of the 900 block Westfield Road reported a political sign stolen sometime overnight from the front lawn.
Oct. 6 at 11:07 p.m.
A 17-year-old male from Wallingford was stopped at the Victoria Business Center 1400 block Baltimore Pike after a complaint was received in Nether Providence of a group of juveniles damaging mailboxes. The male was found to be intoxicated and turned over to his family. Charges for Underage Drinking will be filed.

Oct. 7 at 7:02 a.m.
A window was smashed to a parked vehicle outside the Orange Theory Fitness 100 block South State Road while the owner worked out. A purse was taken with credit cards and a cell phone. Det. McNeely is investigating.
Oct. 8, 10:09 a.m.
A resident of the 700 block Parker Drive reported his unlocked vehicle had been entered sometime overnight. A debit card was taken.
Oct. 8, 6:34 p.m.
An employee of Giant 700 block West Sproul Road reported his license plate stolen after he discovered it missing from his vehicle when he returned home. He checked store video which showed the license plate stolen from the Giant parking lot at 10:45 a.m. Later in the day the license plate was displayed on a vehicle stopped by Brookhaven Police for fraudulent activity at a credit union. A 38-year-old female from Philadelphia was arrested and will be charged with the theft in Springfield.
Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Two boys who placed their bikes on the side of Wawa 100 block Saxer Avenue reported one of the bikes had been stolen by another juvenile male. The green So Cal Flyer bike was last seen on Powell Road towards Springfield Road. Det. Devaney is investigating.
