Springfield Crime Blotter: Underage Drinking, Theft, More

Two juveniles and an 18-year-old were caught drinking in the area of Old Central School over the weekend, police said.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 13 and Oct. 17.

Oct. 13 at 4:23 p.m.
A resident reported that his school issued laptop was stolen from the area of Old Central School, Saxer Avenue.

Oct. 15 at 2:10 a.m.
Officers responded to the Springfield Hospital Sproul Road for a report that a patient in the emergency room had left the room and was running around the hospital and entering restricted areas. Officers located the 59-year-old male from Folsom and found him to be highly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and later turned over to family.

Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.
Three subjects were stopped in the area of Old Central School, Saxer Avenue for suspicion of underage drinking. They were found to have been drinking and were in possession of alcoholic beverages found inside a backpack they were carrying. A juvenile male, juvenile female both from Springfield and an 18-year-old male from Morton were taken into custody and brought to headquarters. They were released to family, and charges for Underage Drinking will be filed.

Oct. 17 at 1:35 p.m.
Four subjects, one being a juvenile, were found in Walsh Park during prohibited hours. Charges for Township Park violations and Curfew will be filed.
