Springfield Crime Blotter: Underage Drinking, Walgreens Fight
Police say several teenagers will be charged with underage drinking after incidents Friday night.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 5 and Oct. 8, 2021.

October 5 at 1:40 p.m.
Officers responded to the Walgreens store block of Baltimore Pike for a report of a fight inside the store. It was found that two people came to the store to confront an employee near the pharmacy. Three subjects were charged with Disorderly Conduct.

October 5 at 5:45 p.m.
Officers observed an occupied vehicle parked in the Municipal Lot behind Wawa, 100 block Saxer Ave., with the occupants engaged in drug activity. The occupants were identified, and the subject in the driver seat was found to be in possession of marijuana. Nathaniel Williams, 18, of Morton, was arrested and taken into custody. He was processed and released, and charges for drug offenses were filed. The two juvenile occupants were released to family.
October 8 at 7:59 p.m.
A patron of the LA Fitness reported his property had been stolen from a locker inside the locker room while he exercised.
October 8 at 8:59 p.m.
Officers observed a male sitting at the Old Central School on Saxer Ave. He was found to have a box of beer inside a backpack he was carrying. The 16 yr. old male from Springfield was taken into custody and turned over to his parents. He will be charged with Underage Drinking.
October 8 at 10 p.m.
Officers observed a male subject near the property of Springfield High School appearing to be intoxicated. He was stopped and identified as a 14 yr. old from Media who had been charged with UAD one week prior. He was taken into custody and turned over to family. He will be charged with Underage Drinking.
October 8 at 10:18 p.m.
Officers observed several subjects in the area of the SEPTA trolley tracks on Saxer Ave. and smelled an odor of marijuana in the area. The identified two adults in the group and one juvenile and found them to be intoxicated and one to possess marijuana and drug paraphernalia. An 18-year-old from Morton was taken into custody and will be charged with Public Drunkenness. A 17-year-old from Springfield was taken into custody and will be charged with Public Drunkenness. The juvenile was turned over to family. The 20-year-old from Glenolden was taken into custody and drug charges are pending.
October 8 at 10:57 p.m.
A 31-year-old female from Philadelphia was arrested for suspicion of DUI after she drove her vehicle into a tree near the corner of State Rd. and Golfview Rd. She was transported to a hospital for a blood test but refused the test. She was turned over to family, and charges for DUI are pending.
