Springfield School District: By the Numbers

How big is your school? New figures show the Springfield School District is growing in students, but shrinking in staff.

The Springfield School District has 3,821 students in all grades said district superintendent Dr. Jim Capolupo during Thursday night’s school board meeting.

According to Capolupo that’s 60 more students than the district had for the 2011-12 school year.

Capolupo added that the district has added 376 students in the last five years, and the district has lost two staff positions.
