Springfield Fire Company: Accident With Car Overturned

On Friday September 17, 2021 at 549 pm Springfield Fire Company, Swarthmore Ambulance and Marple Township Paramedics were alerted to an accident with a car overturned near the Dairy Cottage on Woodland Avenue. There was a report of at least one person trapped in the car. Squad 44, Rescue 44 and Utility 44 responded. Crews stabilized the car and then used hydraulic tools to remove part of the roof to access the patient. The driver was taken to a local hospital by EMS. Crews were on scene for an hour.
