Obituary: Joan P. Strafford

Mrs. Joan P. (nee McLaughlin) Strafford, 80, died on September 30, 2012 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. 

The homemaker was born in Yeadon, PA.  She was a graduate of Holy Child Academy in Drexel Hill, PA.  Mrs. Strafford was a resident of Springfield for 56 years.

She was a member of St. Kevin Church in Springfield.  As a homemaker she especially enjoyed cooking and baking.  She was a beloved mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Marcy) Strafford of Havertown, PA, her daughter, Nancy Borkland of Springfield, PA, her sister, Marie Mundy of Springfield, 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., Megan, and Ryan Graham, and Samantha and Kathleen Strafford.  She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Harry W. Strafford and a daughter, Anne Strafford Graham, both in 2012.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, October 5, after 9:30 AM at St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064 until the time of her funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
