Scouts Replace Flags at Cemetery

Scouts replaced 750 American flags on grave sites of U.S. service members.

Springfield Cub Scout Pack 240 and Boy Scout Troop 512 replaced 750 torn and tattered American flags on grave sites of U.S. service members at Saint Peter and Saint Paul Cemetery on Saturday, May 28.

Scout Jammie Ward (pictured) placed a flag at the grave of his grandfather, Thomas B. Flynn, Jr., who recently passed away.

Nicholas Meloni, cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 240 and assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 512, said this is the second year the scouts have performed this community service.
