Target Employee Accused of Under-Ringing Items

The Philadelphia man is charged in connection with taking more than $200 from the store.

A Target employee has been charged in connection with under-ringing merchandise at the store, according to Springfield Township Police.

Patrick Ubaonu, 19, of Philadelphia, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Target Security, in the 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported at about 5:19 p.m. on Oct. 24 that they had a male employee in custody in connection with under ringing merchandise on four different occasions.

The total amount stolen from the store was $207.66.

Patrolman Joseph O'Berg responded and took Ubaonu into custody and transported him to the Springfield Police Station.
