Police said a man had necklaces stolen off his own neck in a distraction theft incident by a couple on July 27. See full details here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between July 26 and July 30.

July 26 at 4:48 p.m.
Target security, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a theft of allergy medicine by a female who concealed the medication in a shopping bag and walked out of the store. The female was confronted by security and dropped the merchandise. She then fled in a waiting vehicle. Det. Nutley is investigating.

July 27 at 3:21 p.m.
A resident of the 900 block of West Avenue reported that while in the front of his property, a vehicle pulled up and the driver asked for directions. After giving directions, the driver handed the resident two rings, and the female passenger exited the car and put a necklace around his neck. The vehicle then left the area. A short time later the resident realized that his own two necklaces were missing from his neck.

July 29 at 1:35 p.m.
Officers stopped a 31-year-old male from Clifton Heights after observing him riding a bicycle and acting suspicious on the property of the Days Inn, 600 block of Baltimore Pike. He was found to be under the influence of methamphetamine and possessed drug paraphernalia. The male was taken into custody and later released. Drug charges are pending.

July 30 at 3:33 p.m.
A 26-year-old female from Chester will be charged with Retail Theft after being stopped by Macy’s security at the mall for stealing over $80 worth of underwear.
