Theft, DUI, Vandalism, More: Springfield Crime Blotter
A 22-year-old Springfield man has pending DUI charges after police said he crashed a vehicle at State and Springfield roads.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between May 2 and May 7.

May 2 at 11:36 a.m.
An employee of a business at Springfield Square South reported a wallet taken from inside a purse which was inside an office. Several unauthorized credit card transactions were later found.
May 2 at 1:28 p.m.
A 52-year-old male from Woodlyn was arrested after security at Target at the mall reported he stole Pokémon cards from the toy department. The male is suspected of stealing Pokémon card on prior occasions. Charges for Retail Theft will be filed.

May 2 at 3:38 p.m.
Target security, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a female in custody for stealing over $500 worth of cosmetics and clothing. The 19-year-old female from Glenolden will be charged with Retail Theft.
May 3 at 3:02 p.m.
Derrick Kennedy, 49, of Philadelphia, was arrested after Macy’s security reported he stole over $480 worth of fragrance from the store. He was held for arraignment and later transported to Delaware County Prison.
May 4 at 2:49 p.m.
A resident of the 200 block of Avon Road reported damage to a fence caused by four juvenile males. The males were not located.
May 4 at 7:01 p.m.
A male reported that while sitting on a bench on the upper level of the mall, he was approached by a female who confronted him about an earlier incident. Then two males began a fight with the male who was able to defend himself, and the group fled the mall.
May 6 at 3:47 p.m.
A resident of the 200 block of Lynbrooke Road reported a credit card stolen from a vehicle. An unauthorized transaction was later found in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
May 7 at 11:22 p.m.
Officers investigated a crash at the intersection of State Road and Springfield Road involving injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 22-year-old male from Springfield, was found to be intoxicated and taken into custody. He submitted to a blood test and was later turned over to family. Charges for DUI are pending.
May 7 at 11:03 a.m.
A victim shopping at Giant, 700 block of West Sproul Road, reported that while in an aisle she was distracted by a female who engaged her in conversation when a male behind her took her wallet from her purse. She later discovered an unauthorized credit transaction on a credit account.
