Trespassing, Drugs, Thefts, More: Springfield Crime Blotter

A New Jersey woman was found overdosing from opioid ingestion at the mall, according to Springfield Police. See the full blotter here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Sept. 4 and Sept. 10.

Sept. 4 at 2:16 p.m.
Officers responded to Victoria’s Secret at the mall to assist an unconscious person in a fitting room. There they identified a 30-year-old female from Woodbury, New Jersey, who was overdosing from an opioid ingestion. She was treated by medical personnel and taken to a hospital. She will be charged with Public Drunkenness.

Sept. 5 at 5:46 a.m.
Springfield Volkswagon reported the business was entered overnight and several vehicles were missing. Officers learned that a shop bay door had been entered by multiple subjects at about 5:30 a.m. Later it was found that five vehicles had been stolen from the property. As of Thursday, Sept. 7, all five vehicles were recovered; four in Philadelphia and one in King of Prussia. Det. McNeely is investigating.

Sept. 6 at 1:58 p.m.
A 41-year-old female from Eagleville will be charged with Retail Theft after employees at CVS, 300 block of Baltimore Pike, observed her steal over $50 worth of eye drops.

Sept. 7 at 6:30 a.m.
Several vehicles were entered and rummaged on the 300 and 400 blocks Prospect Road, Beechwood Avenue, and Franklin Avenue sometime overnight. Cash, wallets, and small cell phone equipment were taken.

Sept. 8 at 4 p.m.
A 30-year-old female from Chester was stopped by officers on the 700 block Baltimore Pike after it was reported by Target security, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, that she had stolen over $270 worth of health and beauty products. She will be charged with Retail Theft.

Sept. 10 at 12:02 a.m.
Officers were called to a property on the 200 block of Lynbrooke Road for a report of trespassing. They located a 41-year-old male from Springfield intoxicated in the rear. He was taken into custody and later released. Charges for Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct, and Trespassing will be filed.
