Springfield's U12 Boys Basketball Team Wins DelVal Championship
Cougars take the championship with a 47-46 win over Lansdowne.

Springfield U12 boys basketball team won the DelVal Championship Sunday, March 11 at Academy Park High School with a 47-46 win over Lansdowne.
After beating Chester 49-34 in the semi-finals, the boys had the championship in sight. They knew they had tough game ahead of them.Β It was an exciting finish to a great season. After going 2-1 against Lansdowne during the regular season, the boys had to bring their A-game. The entire game was a battle. Β
Tommy Toal lead the Cougars in scoring with 14 points, Kyle Long and Justin Collins both put up 10 points each. Greg Tamaccio and Trevor Robinson both had four points each and Dave Bingaman had two.

Jason Estep's game winning three-pointer with five seconds left in the game put the Cougars up by one. A turn over by Lansdowne put the Cougars in control with three seconds left. After a quick, clean inbounds play by Tamaccio to Toal, the boys stormed the court in celebration!
