I offer guitar lessons in the Springfield/Swarthmore area.

Delco Guitar Studios

I teach electric and acoustic guitar lessons in person close to Springfield and Swarthmore. I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years and have experience teaching all ages of students. I also perform with my classic rock band The Garage Bandits most weekends and can help students get comfortable playing in front of other people. My teaching space is located at 34 Yale Avenue, Morton, PA. Contact me for more information or to set up a free trial lesson! I will be starting a new group guitar class on April 20th! This class will run for 6 sessions over the course of 7 weeks on Mondays from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The focus of this class will be on teaching song melodies to beginners, such as Ode To Joy by Beethoven and Happy Birthday. Each week I will introduce slightly more complicated melodies that will help develop students' ability to play single note melodies on the guitar.

Springfield Youth Club's Youth Varsity Cheerleading Competition team took 1st place in the Youth Large Novice Division at the Bert Bell Competition on Nov. 6 at West Chester University. All three Springfield Youth Club (SYC) teams that entered won first place in their division. Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting

Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting in Chadds Ford is having their annual OPEN HOUSE with a tour of the grounds, Camp History Museum, and a few camp cottages from 1 to 4.&nbsp;Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting is a non-profit Christ-centered association with programs that begin with a Spring Tea in May and end with a Worship Service on August 9th.&nbsp; With continuous service since its founding in 1866, it is one of the oldest Camp Meetings in the United States. Historian Bill Troppman will be speaking in honor of the celebration of America's 250th Anniversary in the open-air Tabernacle at 3:00.&nbsp; Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting is a non-profit Christ-centered association with programs that begin with a Spring Tea in May and end with a Worship Service on August 9th.&nbsp; With continuous service since its founding in 1866, it is one of the oldest Camp Meetings in the United States.&nbsp; The Open House begins the season of programming with speakers, musical groups, Bible Study, prayer, and Revival, culminating in a traditional Walk Around on August 8th.&nbsp; All are welcome;&nbsp; most events are FREE, and offerings are accepted.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Join Newtown and Marple Historic Societies as we celebrate Marple-Newtown Historic Day and America 250,&nbsp; opening 11 sites for tours and events on June 6th from 11 to 4pm. A full listing of all sites and events&nbsp; can be found on Newtown Square Historical Society's&nbsp; web page www.nshistory.org and Marple Historical Society web page www.marplehistorical society.org. Featured events are Massey House with tours and living history demonstrations, 1742 Square Tavern with tours and live performances inside where it happened,&nbsp; at 12:30 and 2pm as patrons in 1776 learn of the signing for Independence. Paper Mill House will offer basket weaving workshop and sale, Live Music with the Time Travelers, Container Meadow Garden and Birdtown Exhibit, Art Exhibit and refreshments. Bartram Covered Bridge invites the public to sail their model boat on the Crum Creek with prizes for the most seaworthy. Octagonal School offers 1800's school experience.
