A new Elk County billing system caused errors, including wrong owner names and missing bills, but taxes are still due on time. Residents must contact the City Tax Office to correct any problems.
   

• Elk County Catholic High School & St. Marys Catholic Middle School Cafeteria Manager (theriver989.com) — A local cafeteria manager position is open serving students at Elk County Catholic High School and St. Marys Catholic Middle School, starting with the 2026–27 school year. • Community Foundation Supports Free Lunches For Kids And Teens Initiative (theriver989.com) — Families in St. Marys can pick up free grab-and-go lunches for kids and teens this summer at New Horizons Healthy Foods/Fitness Fun and additional Elk County locations. The effort, started locally by Leroy and Julia Kopp, is now backed by the SMILE for TYLER Fund, Messengers Supporting Recovery, and the Elk County Community Foundation. Residents can donate, volunteer, or check New Horizons’ page for pickup times.
