Ferguson Twp. police introduce first electric patrol cruiser in Centre region (lockhaven.com) — Ferguson Township Police, serving the State College area, have rolled out their first fully electric Chevrolet Blazer EV patrol cruiser, aiming to cut emissions and long-term costs. The new vehicle offers zero-emission patrols, 280-mile range, protected idle mode, and reduced maintenance, which township officials say should save tax dollars without sacrificing performance or public safety.

With local organizers and residents involved, the showcase aimed to connect State College talent with employers and inspire more students to experiment with accessible AI tools across majors.
   

4. Protesters gather in opposition of ICE activity in State College (psucollegian.com) — Protesters gathered at Old Main in State College to oppose Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity on campus and at the State College Regional Airport, urging Penn State to cut cooperation with the agency. Students and residents marched through campus buildings, voicing concerns about safety, deportations, and family separation while calling on the university to better protect its community.
