Juniper Village at Brookline Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Invests in the Next Generation of Caregivers

State College, PA - Juniper Village at Brookline Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing is proud to announce that three students sponsored through its long-standing partnership with the Central PA Institute of Science and Technology (CPI) have graduated from the 120-hour Nurse Aide Program and will begin working as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with the community.

The graduates, Autumn Clark, Shaniquah Robinson, and Kathryn Lucas, completed their program on December 16, and will transition directly into CNA roles at Juniper Village at Brookline Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

Juniper Village at Brookline has partnered with CPI since 2015 through clinical education and workforce development initiatives that support students pursuing careers in healthcare. As part of this partnership, Juniper serves as a clinical training site for CPI students, providing hands-on experience in a real-world, long-term care setting while helping address the growing demand for skilled caregivers in the region.

“This program is truly a win-win opportunity as it allows us to support students as they enter the healthcare field, while continuing to build a strong, compassionate CNA workforce dedicated to quality care in our community,” said Abigail Dale, an associate with Brookline Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

Through Juniper’s sponsorship program, students receive tuition assistance, earn an hourly wage during training, and complete required clinical experience within the community. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are offered employment opportunities, creating a seamless pathway from education to career. To date, approximately 40 students have completed the Nurse Aide Program through Juniper’s partnership with CPI, and the organization actively recruits to sponsor students in every CPI Nurse Aide class.

The 120-hour Nurse Aide Program at CPI combines classroom instruction with supervised clinical experience, equipping students with essential skills for success in long-term care settings.
