Week 7 kicks off October 3–4 with games across Schuylkill County, though Tamaqua gets a bye, so local families can still follow rivals' matchups and plan weekend travel.

Elison, 80, a Nativity BVM graduate, Army reservist, antique dealer, and devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Pottsville. His Mass of Christian Burial is set for Friday, October 2, with a morning viewing at the church and interment to follow at the parish cemetery for those wishing to pay respects.
