Area Students Honored at Devon Prep Upper School Sports Banquet
More than 20 Devon Prep student athletes were honored during the school's annual Upper School Schports Banquet held at the end of the school year.
Devon Prep’s Athletic Department recently sponsored the annual Upper School Sports Banquet honoring athletes and coaches. MVP and Spirit awards in addition to several special awards were presented to over twenty students.
New this year was the Bill Frio Heart and Hustler Award named after Devon Prep’s long time basketball coach who retired in the spring. Senior John Kane of Coatesville received this award from Mr. Frio of Springfield, Delaware County, himself.
The Devon Prep Alumni Award for Outstanding Athletic Achievement, which honors a student who excels as both a scholar and athlete, was presented by Headmaster Rev. James J. Shea, Sch.P. to graduating senior Thomas Seykora.
