Blog: Berwyn gets “British Invasion,” at School of Rock’s Fundraiser

showcased its house band, “The Delta Squad,” and welcomed musicians, “British Invasion,” a tribute band headlined by Rocker, “Ron E. Kayfield,” at their Beef and Beer Fundraiser.  For a mere $10 attendees received a night of recognizable rock songs in a small, intimate setting.

Rik, Alison, the Musical Director of the School of Rock, let his students take the stage and warm up the crowd with song renditions of Guns and Roses, “Sweet Child of Mine,” to The Police’s, “I Can’t Stand Losing You,” and other tunes.

After the students completed their set, the British Invasion took the stage and performed tunes that the crowd of students, their parents and invited guests enjoyed.

Mr. Kayfield was accompanied on the stage with his fellow band mates, Drummer, “Bob “The Iceman” Jones” and Bass Guitarist and vocalist, “John Salamone.”

Mr. Kayfield’s website indicated his successful rock music biography as follows, “Ron E. Kayfield (Waysted, Saints and Sinners) melodic & innovative guitar styleand backing lead vocals. Ron has toured and worked with Ozzy Osbourne, MotleyCrue, Ronnie James Dio and many more. He was a founding member, songwriterand the original lead guitarist for the UK band Waysted - Chrysalis/CBS Records.Their MTV video “Loveloaded” can still be seen on VH1 Classic Metal.  Ron alsoworked with Noel Redding & Mitch Mitchell in 1986 for their one & only reunionsince the passing of Jimi Hendrix.”
