Bogart and Bergman debuts in Casablanca

Back in 1942, New York City premiered the future classic film, Casablanca that started Hollywood legends, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.  The premise of this film according to history.com involved, “Bogart played Rick Blaine, a former freedom fighter and the owner of a swanky North African nightclub, who is reunited with the beautiful, enigmatic Ilsa Lund (Bergman), the woman who loved and left him.”

King Tut’s tomb is opened after 3,000 years

Back in 1922, British archaeologists Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon became one of the first souls to enter King Tutankhamen’s tomb in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings in more than 3,000 years.

According to history.com, “Tutankhamen's sealed burial chambers were miraculously intact, and inside was a collection of several thousand priceless objects, including a gold coffin containing the mummy of the teenage king.”
