Conestoga Crew Team Rows in Manny Flick Regatta

The Conestoga Crew team returned to racing after Spring Break on Sunday, April 7^th at the 3^rd Manny Flick Regatta under sunny, but windy conditions.  With 16 boats entered, it was a busy day of rowing on the Schuylkill river.   The boys rowed in the morning with the Freshman/Novice rowers all getting their first racing experience.   Jacob Hinderer finished 3^rd in the Boys Novice 1X; Timothy Kao and Sean Johnson finished 2^nd in the Boys Novice 2X; Ted McGovern, Michael Kling, Ryan Hollinger, and Jacob Novak finished 1^st in the Boys Freshman 4x; Anders Backstrom, Maarten Monster, Austin Coney, and Carleton Monster finished 1^st in the Novice Boys 4x.  Next, Richard Stone and Hanan Zisling finished 2^nd in the Boys JV 2X; Niall Carlson, Steven Devlin, Max Malarkey, and Nick McNamara finished 3^rd in the Boys Ltwt 4X.  The morning racing schedule concluded with Andrey Lanahan and Jared Ingersoll finishing 2^nd in the Boys Varsity 2X; Sean Pepin, Tyler Simpson, Brian Kane, and Nathan Leibowitz finished 3^rd in Boys Varsity 4X.  The girls took to the river in the afternoon and achieved remarkable success.  Callie Maslowsky and Ivy Hollander finished 1^st in the Girls Novice 2X; Emily Hompe, Caroline Gosnear, Carly Robins, and Leah Palomo finished 1^st in the Girls Freshman 4X.  Next, Madeline Beirne and Amy Connell finished 1^st in the Girls JV 2X; Sarah Thomas, Rachael Devlin, Isabel Geddes, and Annina Ruggirello finished 1^st in the Girls JV 4X; Sophie Bodek and Angela Sarkisian finished 2^nd in the Girls Ltwt 2x; Jenny Alcorn, Emer Ryle, Katie Groves, and Maddy Amsterdam finished 1^st in the Girls Ltwt 4X.  The day concluded as Brianna Kaufmann and Molly Dudrear finished 3^rd in the Girls Varsity 2X; Anne Graf, Maddy Tessier-Kay, Megan Hudson, and Rebecca Simonetti finished 1^st in the Girls Varsity 4X.  The crew team returns to racing as Manny Flick Regatta series continues next Sunday, April 14^th.
