Costumed Judges Have “Treats” For Unique Costumes at Berwyn’s Historic Halloween Parade
Berwyn Fire Company's Annual Halloween Parade
Local residents trekked through the cold temperatures after yesterday’s snowstorm to enlist in Berwyn’s Annual October Event, the Halloween Parade sponsored by Berwyn’s Fire Company and the Berwyn/Devon Business Association.
A large group of people from the community ranged from young, old and furry gathered at the start of this event at First and Bridge Avenues. Once everybody was in place, the attendees made their promenade down Bridge Street towards the judging area inside the Berwyn Fire Station. One of the fire trucks led the way of the parade with bright lights that illuminated the dark street.
The costumed judges looked impressed while they greeted the long line of costumed characters that ranged from bumble bees, robots, animals, clowns, video game and cartoon characters. There were also some cute dogs in costumes as well.

Some costumed individuals thought out of the box with creations such as, “Prince Charmin,” which was a young boy dressed like a Charmin Toilet Paper Roll with a crown.
Three youngsters dressed like characters from The Flintstones sat in a small replica of a Flintstone Mobile that was impressive as well.
