Enjoy Your Gardening Accomplishments

There is so much to do in the garden in May, it is a bit overwhelming!

There is so much to do in the garden in May, it is a bit overwhelming! I find that the best way to approach this month is to start and complete one thing at a time. When you begin multiple projects and spend just a little time at each one, you just don't get that sense of accomplishment that occurs when you make a careful list and check off each task as you finish.

Rather than edging every bed and planting area on your entire property and then moving on to let's say weeding every bed and then pruning the plants and then mulching, complete all those tasks in one bed. Take a step back and the time to enjoy the improvement you've made in one area of your landscape. That sense of satisfaction will give you the energy to move on to the next chore and before you know it, your gardens will be beautiful!
