Describe your company:
ACA Paper Restoratino handles both the restoration and conservation of works on paper; from antique to modern pieces, our services extend to prints, paintings, documents, maps, books, photographs and other works on paper.
Number of Employees, are there any plans for new hires in the future?
4 full time, 1 part time and 2 on contract/project basis and YES, we are always looking for talented people that can help grow our business.
Recent Project/New Product or Service:
Using a ‘Platen’, or vacuum table, we are able to clean works on paper that would otherwise be at risk of deterioration if cleaned in a bath, items such as watercolors and hand-colored prints.
We have recently begun offering book and binding restoration services.
Education: BS Marketing, U of Scranton
Your First Job: Worked for a marketing agency, specifically on their Breyer’s Ice Cream promotion campaign in the tri-state area. Introducing their new yogurt and “light” ice cream lines through a sampling campaign at grocery stores and weekend events.

Business Philosophy:
Essential Business Philosophy:
Provide the best results for our clients from customer service, to restoration to shipping.
Best Way to Keep Your competitive Edge:
Excellent service, a diligent marketing that is in line with current trends.
What is your Measure or Yardstick of Success:
Besides financial yardsticks, repeat business and clients referred to us are things I keep a close eye on!
Judgment Calls:
Best Decision: 2009…business was struggling along with the economy, and we couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. So we made a decision to sink what money we had left into marketing, foregoing our own salaries to do so, rather than wait and hope….
Worst Decision: Some marketing campaigns didn’t hit.
Mentor: Philip Rosenfeld…owner of The Pennsylvania Art Conservatory in Berwyn. Worked for him, managing his paper restoration department/division for a number of years. It is this division of the PA Art Conservatory that we ultimately purchased from him.
True Confessions:
The most important lesson you’ve learned: I’ve learned to take the high road…it’s not about me, it’s business.
What do you like about doing business in Devon and Berwyn: I live in Berwyn and enjoy having my home and work life intertwined. Also makes me feel connected to the community.
Person most interested in meeting (can be any time in history) and why: Leonardo DaVinci, the ultimate “Renaissance Man”
Et Cetera:
Most influential Book to you: Stephen Baxters’ ‘Manifest’ books….
Favorite Movie: Too many to list…..Pulp Fiction!
Favorite Restaurant: Parc on Rittenhouse Square but Nectar is my local staple
Favorite Vacation Spot: Europe
Favorite Room in your Home and why: Kitchen…its our social center, the food, it’s the brightest room in the house!
Favorite Way you spend free time/hobbies/interests: Spending time with my family is always my preference. I enjoy sports (playing softball and running a couple fantasy football leagues) and playing my guitars.
