Describe your company:

Holisticare Hospice provides end of life care wherever the person calls home. These services include care from a team of professionals including, physicians, registered nurses, social workers, certified nursing assistants, spiritual coordinators and volunteers. Our services are completely covered under Medicare and most insurance companies and will never have a cost associated with them.  

 

In addition to standard hospice services, Holisticare Hospice believes in treating the whole patient by providing alternative modalities such as Reiki, Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Touch, Visualization, Pet Therapy and Music Therapy.

 

Number of Employees, are there any plans for new hires in the future?

We have 35 employees and are growing and always looking to add to our team

We provide end of life care for those individuals who have chosen a palliative approach to their care. We specialize in symptom management to maximize quality and comfort

Marjorie: Allow your team to make decisions and support them the best way I can.

Manon:  Don’t “expect” you must “inspect”

Kathleen:  To do what feels right all the time.

 

What do you like about doing business in Devon and Berwyn:

Marjorie: The people in this area are so interesting and you can get anywhere from here fast.

Manon: wonderful people committed to quality services – I love what I do and am very proud of how my team does it!!

Kathleen: The local businesses are very friendly and welcoming.

 

Person most interested in meeting (can be any time in history) and why:

Marjorie: Julia Child, she was amazing and for her love of life.

Manon: Jesus Christ; Obvious reasons….

Kathleen:  Abraham Lincoln because he led this country at one of the worst times in history and I admire how he perservered through mistakes and challenges.

Marjorie: Cooking, Wine, Sailing, spending time with my two kids and my two Portuguese Water Dogs

Manon:  Working out, gardening, reading

Kathleen:  Spending every minute I can with my family and friends – I am lucky to have them in my life!

Hospice Services should be started as early as possible for patients and their families. Too often, patients are referred too late and don’t get the full benefit of the services we offer.
