Researching Your English Ancestry from this Side of the Pond

Nearly 50 million Americans claim whole or partial English ancestry. If you have English ancestry, then the April 9th meeting of the Main Line Genealogy Club is for you.

Nearly 24 million Americans claim wholly English ancestry and another almost 26 million claimed English along with another ethnic ancestry.  If you have English ancestry and would like to learn more about your family history, then the April meeting of the Main Line Genealogy Club is for you.

If you have discovered English ancestors, you don't need to fly to London to pursue the records they left in parishes, censuses, and courts where probate and even criminal records could enhance our ancestor’s story.

Sandra M. Hewlett, certified genealogist, will share with you her experiences with the valuable resources now online for English research and will touch on websites for Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. And she will introduce you to British educational programs available in the United States.
