Back in 1986, The Oprah Winfrey Show is premiered to a national audience. This successful talk show became a media sensation and made Ms. Winfrey a household celebrity, which produced, the “Oprah Effect.” Ms. Winfrey had a successful run on television for 25 years before starting her OWN Network back in January of 2011.

Nixon pardoned by Ford
Back in 1974, President Richard M. Nixon received a pardon for his involvement in the Watergate scandal by his predecessor, Gerald Ford. Mr. Ford felt that the pardon would help to put this scandal behind all of those who participated in this wiretapping of the Watergate Hotel’s Democratic National Committee offices.
